Job Description:

As Shell Turkey, we have an ambition to deliver strong growth in our non-fuel business which mainly consist of Shell Select Markets and Lubricants. Currently we have more than 1000 Select Shops in our Shell sites where we are offering our private label deli2go cold and hot sandwiches, fresh hot and ice coffee, fresh foods, cold press and organic juices, chocolates and wafers, nuts as differentiator range. Regarding coffee business, we have partnerships with Kahve Dunyası and Starbucks, in addition to deli2go PL coffee.

deli2go coffee is a crucial customer offer for Shell Selects. On the go Coffee is a very detailed business that requires close operational follow-up, strong communication with field team, contracting and procurement team, marketing team and suppliers, hands on operational focus, fast customer & dealer response for problems in the sites. This role is required a resilient, professional delivery orientation to manage different levels of organization, stakeholders and work complexity including sales and operation teams, coffee machine service providers, coffee bean an perishables providers, Shell dealers, format, marketing communications, etc.

Understanding of Coffee machines’ service requirements, ability to follow new trends, technological developments, customer expectations and turn them into commercial benefit is also needed for this position. It is also preferred that the candidate has a passion for overall coffee business and has relevant past experience.

Flowless customer experience and operational excellence is at the heart of this business. In order to serve the best customer journey, we search someone who have;

-Experience in retail operations

-Understanding customer journey for retail operations.

-Able to understand the business with customer lens

-Able to communicate with field operations & suppliers’ service units with fast response.

-Relationship management experience with dealers & field teams as internal customers.

-Understanding of dealer mindset & commercial value in coffee for both sides

-Interest in Coffee machines & equipment for the brands: Schaerer, WMF and Franke

-Interest in Coffee machine/machinery service, maintenance & repair

-Interest in Coffee Machine & equipment cleaning materials

-Contract management experience is a required

-Multi-tasking ability is highly required

-Fast learner & adaptation skills

-Resilience and delivery approach

-Experience in a growing coffee or food service business with concrete contribution is preferred.

Accountabilities

• Contributing and executing end to end coffee growth strategy with a solid and clear plan.

• Generating annual coffee business agenda including new offers, expansion plans, operational improvements, tendering or contracting processes, etc in line with growth strategy.

• Support CR Category Team Lead, CR Operations & Format & Supply Chain teams in coffee business.

• Act as a problem solver to field teams when there is interruption in coffee supply to customer due to machinery/other operational issues.

• Improve operational excellence in Select network for coffee business.

• Act to customers & dealers’ problems in an agile way, with fast response.

• Further improvement of customer journey & dealer satisfaction with current suppliers.

• Managing stocks for beans, cups, perishables, flavors with related parties & manage orders.

• Managing 3rd party logistics and warehouse operations of coffee beans, cups, perishables, flavors through service providers.

• Ensuring compliant contract management including Shell dealers’ and suppliers contracting and invoicing processes.

• Following waste of perishables and beans in coffee operation, generating required regular reporting to field team and CR team. Planning and taking preventive actions to ensure and run in best-in-class operational level.

• Manage suppliers with CP, related to all aspects of the coffee & deli2go business: beans, perishables, technical etc.

• Planning and contributing to annual Capex & Opex budget in line with growth strategy.

• Preparing and managing machinery park of coffee & ice machines and other supporting assets. Aligning on annual company and dealer machine requirements with suppliers and ensuring smooth investing process without and stock outs or delays in machine supply.

• Regularly searching better cost & operation solutions, suppliers, systems with contracting and procurement team.

• Plan & execute tasting activities with suppliers for new offers and flavors.

• Understand deli2go category dynamics & trends to launch new SKUs within competition.

• Travelling and visiting Shell Select stores regularly to ensure delivering prominent level of operational excellence and customer journey in the field.

• Having an external lens and mindset and a supporting can-do attitude to improve new offers, recipes, way of workings to create better customer journey, improve customer satisfaction and increase the total customer value.

• Having a high level of delivery through others mindset and one team approach to execute the coffee business plans and operational improvements with the field team.
