Job Description:

General description of job

The position will report to the Country Tax Manager and will be responsible from following in scope of external compliance requirements which includes below areas;

  • E-ledgers, Electronic Record Keeping Requirements,
  • Supervision of Data inquiry from tax authorities and compliance reporting and
  • Monitoring tax compliance activities delivered through local tax roles, FO tax roles business compliance teams and external YMM reporting.


Responsibilities;

  • Generate and submit Electronic Ledgers, inventory ledger and Financial Electronic Records reports monthly on time,
  • Oversee opening of tickets by super users to FIT and SOM for known defects and issues,
  • Contribute to discussion on approach & process for development of new CRs,
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of report submission process and data quality of E-Ledger and E-records reports,
  • Manage all the changes and issues with the relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to quality assurance and testing of CRs impacting E-Ledger & E-Records under facilitation of E-transformation project team,
  • Help maintain comprehensive user manuals and requirement guidelines to improve quality and consistency of reports,
  • Support on preparation of Fiscal & Stat financial tables,
  • Providing advice/support on Turkish GAAP requirements,
  • Supporting Country Controller on fiscal accounts,
  • Contact with businesses FP and FO for e-ledger and e-record problematic issues,
  • Responsible for statutory ledger requirements fulfillment (Paper ledger notarization, filling, closing and maintenance,
  • Supervise other Shell entities’ statutory ledger and e-records keeping requirements,
  • Supervision for delivery of Data inquiries from tax authorities including tax audit/dispute cases ensuring data reconciled with e-ledgers,
  • Support for Customs Audit for financial and tax data requests through e-records/e-ledger data data,
  • Using the annual e-record keeping reports on responding to cross-audit requests,
  • Supporting applicable tax advisors on data analysis for specific cases/projects.
  • Responsible for providing fiscal ledger data to court reviews,
  • Monitoring the compliance requirements for FO MIT, business compliance teams and external companies (i.e. UTR reports, Ethanol reports, VAT refund reports etc ) for ED and VAT processes and supporting for complex cases,
  • Addressing compliance process improvement areas and proposing actions for improvements,
  • Key focal point for Tax Office connection for operational issues,
  • Act in full compliance with ISO9001 Quality Management & ISO27001 Information Security Management systems

Requirements

  • Strong tax and accounting background (7-10 years’ experience in tax and compliance area)
  • Strong SAP knowledge on financial transactions
  • Strong know how on tax procedural rules on reporting
  • Experience in project management
  • Ability to work on data analytics tools such as Power BI,
  • Familiar with Turkish legislation changes relevant to e-transformation projects
  • Proven internal stakeholder management skills and Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels
  • Ability to respond quickly to changing priorities and multiple parallel activities
  • Good understanding of the relevant Turkish business environment and business models
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in Turkish and English language
