Job Description:

Purpose:

To manage grease manufacturing and filling activities in a 3 shift (7 days/24 hours) environment

Supervise all production, filling and packaging of Greases in accordance with GPC (GQS) and according to the Plan set by the Production Planner whilst meeting HSSE, Security and Environmental targets

Principle Accountabilities:

• Ensure production and filling is carried out in accordance with roles described in GSAP/Streamline.

• To produce and fill greases according to the Grease Quality System and other Quality and Environmental Management Systems and HSSE requirements. (c)

• Ensure Production Line (Pre-Melting Operations, Transfer Systems (e.g. pumping, piping, pack to tank, forklift movements), Autoclave (heating and pressurizing) Operations, Tank Heating, Tank Mixing, Tank Sampling, Line Air Blowing, Kettle (cooling and additivation) Operations, Homogenization, Filtering, Vacuum) Operations and Filling Line (Packaging, Capping, Labelling, transfer systems (e.g. conveyor, AGVs, forklift movements), de-palletizing, palletizing, wrapping, flushing, sampling) Operations are performed in accordance with the Plan (set by the Production Planner) and consistent with HSSE & Quality rules and regulations. (c)

• Primary responsible person for operations during the shift, including handover at the start as well as end of the shift, operational prioritization, trouble-shooting, decision making for any changes to routine in contact with Production Manager where necessary. (c)

• To act as a Manager On-Duty of the Site during night and evening shifts of weekdays and all shifts of weekends (role covering representation, coordination as well as on-scene command in case of emergencies with no operational responsibility for laboratory testing or fuels loading).

• Work with Maintenance Supervisor to ensure Tanks, Production, Filling and Associated Equipments availability is maximized by providing high level of AI (Asset Integrity). (c)

• Works with the Local Grease Technologist and Laboratory to reduce Batch Cycle times and reduction of flush and waste oils. To increase RFT (Right First Time) results in both Production and Filling side.

• Support production manager in managing overall activities (preventive maintenance coordination, training, document revision, development of continuous improvement projects etc.)

• Support Maintenance&Investments team and Bulk Operations&Projects team for CAPEX project implementations in Production and Filling.

• Manage heating process of additives, bulk products at ovens and tanks. Prevent over heating.

• Manage additive warehouse activities and forklift operations for stacking and transferring packed additives into Grease Plant.

• Support new packaging transitions with global stakeholders.

• Ensure all production units and Filling Machines work in a coordinated manner (amongst itself as well as planning) to achieve OTIF (on time in full) to customers at targeted levels and to achieve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) in Production and Filling.

• Minimize product working losses (write offs / downgraded product / flushing oils) & achieve targeted level of RFT (right first time) in Production and Filling. This will enable better Margin Leakage results hence less amount of MCV (Material Consumption Variance) (c).

• Keep raw materials and empty packs in good condition at all times, ready for usage by regularly checking the physical conditions and shelf lifes.

• Keep all plant hardware in good condition for the continuity of operations through optimizing requirements & frequency of maintenance activities in coordination with Maintenance & Investments Manager.

• Update Production and Filling Plant specific SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure) when necessary and train the operators.

• Ensure all stocks are accurate in terms of physical count and book in system which will enable less stock gain/losses. (c)

• Manage rework operations of Greasemixes and part drums into permitted products in line with GQS requirements.

• Lead oil spill teams and Fire Fighting teams according to emergency response plan.

• Develop, motivate and recognise own team to create world-class professionals with a winning team spirit.

• Coach, train and lead Production and Filling Operators.

• Authority to stop production and filling operations in case of any quality problem. (c)

• Act as Permit Authorizer (PA), Isolation Owner (IO), Isolation Authorizer (IA) in e-PTW system for his/her responsible area. (c )

• Fully compliant with ISO9001 Management Quality system, ISO27001 Information security management systems, IATF 16949 International Automotive Task Force , TS EN ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, ISO 10002 Complaint Handling and Customer Satisfaction Quality Management Systems, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems standards/procedures/work instructions (c)

Related to HSSE: (c)

• Implement the HSSE Plans, Policies, Standards and Procedures according to the HSSE-MS.

• Ensure risks of HSSE related activities are reduced to ALARP.

• Ensure assets are safe guarded and controls are in place for people to operate safely.

• Provide adequate training for staff to develop competence.

• Promote HSE Golden Rules and Life Saving Rules.

Key/Special Challenges:

• How to minimize product working losses (off-spec products & flushing oils) while delivering a product portfolio that is continuously getting more complex (increasing # of formulations)

• How to manage 3 shift plant operations in 7 days efficiently delivering full capacity yield with a relatively young and inexperienced team.

• How to stay integrated, fully on board within the overall LSC team mostly working in 1 shift environment while working on 3 shift basis with working hours rotating weekly

• How to balance short term pressures (increasing demand in a growing market under OTIF targets) against longer term requirements (tank optimisation / stops to enable maintenance)

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required Experience Qualification:

- The position requires professional qualification in any of these disciplines: mechanical, production process, electrical, electronic, chemistry and wide experience operating plants. Experience handling Plant instruments is also required. Demonstrated evidence of Enterprise first values and behaviours will be taken into account during the selection process. Preferably Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with good command of Turkish and English is required.
