Job Description:
This position provides HSSE support and assurance to the Trading & Supply Distribution Operations, Engineering and Road Transport team in Turkey, to implement and ensure compliance with Shell and Legal HSSE requirements. The role drives continuous improvement in HSSE performance as well as value generation through the effective and tailored use of HSSE principles.
Dimensions: The T&S business in Turkey consists of 4 Shell operated terminals, 4 NOV terminals, OSP's, and both Primary and Secondary Road Transport operations.
Responsibilities:
Collaboration within the Terminal Operations Leadership as part of the Engineering - Operations - HSSE triangle.
Achieve proactive and reactive HSSE targets (PI/NM/TRCF/AIPS/Tier1&2 Spills etc.)
Define and agree yearly HSSE plans at terminal level and for high risk terminal and engineering contracts, for multiple locations.
Implement HSSE requirements such as Control Framework, local HSSE legislation.
Check and provide HSSE advice on MOC requests (HSSE)and Statement of fitness
Support incident notification, classification and registration (Sphera & GPMR).
Analyse T&S incidents using Sphera and Power BI for management reporting requirements and to identify areas for improvement. Design and agree improvement plans with the various terminal and engineering leads.
Ensure appropriate Incident Investigation for all significant or high potential incidents, remedial actions are identified and closed and that the Learning from Incidents are shared.
Keep up-to-date Emergency Response Plans and work with the terminals to ensure that regular drills are conducted and areas for improvement identified and sustainably closed out.
Facilitate, review and update of HEMP, HRA, SRA, Worker Welfare and /or other risk assessments (e.g. HAZOP, LOPA, PSSR)
Ensure HSSE training when required (HSSE introduction / On-boarding, ePTW, eMOC etc.) are conducted.
Lead the preparation and then coordinate the delivery of Shell Lod1/LoD2/LoD3 audits as well as legislation audits.
Deliver the required HSSE support to ensure appropriate Contractor Safety Management (Green banding, Contractor HSSE plans, Contractor evaluations etc.)
Provide support to special projects such as the rollout of cleaner energy initiatives and Safety Refresh when required.
Provide SME and Technical Authority support as requested for Engineering and Operations.
Provide SME support on several Personal Safety Requirements especially related to the PTW process.
Provide SME support to OSP Contract Holders and JV's where applicable.

Regular business travel required
Degree in a Technical Area or HSSE discipline preferred.
5+Years in direct HSSE field experience (Oil and Gas industry would be beneficial)
