Job Description:

The Operational HSSE (Health, Safety, Security and Environment) discipline partners with the Businesses to achieve Goal Zero by providing them with overall safety support and to ensure delivery of effective HSSE management processes. The discipline includes:
• HSSE Generalists, who do general HSSE management and 'integrate' expertise from the various HSSE & Social Performance (SP) disciplines without being necessarily experts themselves in these disciplines.
• Specialists in the management of the safety risks and barriers associated with Road and Operational hazards.
• Specialists delivering support to the Businesses and to the HSSE and SP disciplines in the fundamental areas of Behavioural HSSE, Contractor HSSE Management, Emergency Response, Incident Investigation and Learning, and Product Stewardship.

Purpose:
To provide advice, guidance and support for HSSE issues to Lubricants Supply Chain activities in Turkey with main focus on plant, warehouse, maintenance and jetty operations.
To act as a guardian and support compliance to local HSSE regulations and the Shell HSSE & SP control framework.
To support the Country Lubricants Operations Director in terms of HSSE Management.
To actively support the lubricants and grease operational team in implementing and maintaining the HSSE standards, processes, policies and standards.
Be an active member of the local Management Team in Turkey.
To manage and coordinate the delivery of all global strategies and programs for HSSE and to support the establishment of effective HSSE management systems for Global Lubricants in Turkey.
To advise and support line managers on the journey to Goal Zero and the development of pro-active HSSE culture within Lubricants where there is a very high standard of performance for all those that are directly or indirectly affected by the Lubricants operations and services.
To ensure that sustainable development is about doing business genuinely and in ways that take full account all risks and opportunities.

Skills & Requirements:
University degree
Strong track record in HSSE management
Sound understanding of HSSE policies, standards and procedures
Experience in the preparation of key HSSE management documentation and use of the appropriate techniques (HEMP, Accident Investigation, Auditing)
Well developed communication skills, ability to build productive internal and external relationships based on trust.
Sound interpersonal & influencing skills and ability to work in a matrix organisational environment, influencing people and delivering results, usually without having formal authority or line responsibility.
Ability to understand and cascade long-term vision in line with Lubricants HSSE strategy
Experience in developing and leading indirect teams and ability to coach and develop staff is an advantage
Operational or Supply Chain operations experience is a strong advantage.
English and Turkish language proficiency is a must in day to day interactions and engagements with staff, contractors, external stakeholders and global / regional teams.
Familiarity with local regulations and legislations.
Hands-on experience with related standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001)

The Lubricants business requires visible success in managing HSSE in accordance to the single global HSSE Management System and the implementation of high HSSE standards of operation globally. The Lubricants business aims at Goal Zero and would want to achieve a Pro-active HSSE Culture everyone and everywhere quickly. There is a need to develop a high HSSE competence level across the organization via knowledge sharing, personnel coaching, competence development and training.
