Purpose
The Marketing Specialist Indirect Turkey is part of the Indirect Marketing Operations Team and is responsible to create and deliver the marketing plans of various distributors in the local market in collaboration with sales. It is a commercial front line role with both budget and performance responsibility. The Marketing Specialist turns our business strategy into bottom line value and is our ear in the market to feed local customer requirements into the organization.
Accountabilities
The Marketing Specialist Indirect is accountable for:
- Generating market insights and creating impactful marketing strategy to reach the delivery targets of the market together with the Indirect Business Manager
- Creating a three-year road map for the local market in collaboration with the Indirect Business Manager and in alignment with and with the support of the European channel leads.
- Creating annual marketing plans in close collaboration with the Indirect Business Manager and in alignment with and with the support of the European channel leads.
- Owning and delivering the local marketing plan together with the sales team and in close collaboration with the Indirect Business Manager.
- Owning the local brand preference for our products and generate demand through campaigns and promotions in cooperation with the MarComs and Digital team.
- Owning and maintaining the local SP&A budget.
- Feeding local product needs into the Product Life Management (PLM) functions, sector leads and channel leads.
- Developing local digital lead generation and working towards an end-to-end pipeline process with our distributor partners.
- Owning Shell lubricants brand communication for the market including the Shell website and Market Hub.
- Supporting the marketing team in any regional activities when and where required.
Skills & Requirements
- Preference for a degree in business
- Proven marketing skills and commercial acumen
- Strong experience with brand communication and digital marketing
- High engagement and collaboration skills: internal and external
- Ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships and work in a team-orientated environment.
- Strong analytical and project management skills
- Proven excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong drive and ability to work in an autonomous manner
- Evidence of resilience and ability to successfully manage challenge and conflict

- Ability to prioritise and adapt to change based on market conditions/business requirements
- High awareness of market dynamics, key trends in automotive, on/off highway and/or industrial sectors. Keep data up to date, align and inform all relevant stakeholders (sales, technical, distributors)
- Experience in distributor management beneficial but not necessary
- Fluent in Turkish
- Good English skill level, written and verbally.
