Job Description:
Job Purpose:
• Provide IT network design and support to offices, plants, terminals and retail sites.
Dimensions:
• 700+ users in 14 Shell locations and/or Home Based and 1000+ retail sites
Principal Accountabilities:
• Responsibility for the IT Infrastructure(including cabling, wiring, cabinet and UPS) of all locations supported
• Work with support and project team to prepare detailed infrastructure plans and to ensure supportable solution is being deployed by the projects.
• Cooperate with support and delivery team on technical feasibility and considerations.
• Understand Shell’s landscape and architecture across multiple support vendors. Provide integrated support based on your architectural understanding by coordinating with different vendors to solve network related issues.
• Ensure telecoms services (Landlines, GSM, 3G and DSL) are delivered within the SLA/Agreement and in accordance with policies and standards.
• Ensure SLA’s/Agreements and targets are met for Desktop operation with regards to local services and local helpdesk.
• Responsibility for the installation (re-image) and first line support of legacy/GI PC’s in accordance with Shell global standards.
• Procurement and asset management of desktop/portable equipments, and keeping the inventory up to date.
• Responsibility for support of the local End-to-End processes covering Call Management, Change and Problem Management
• Assisting customers with office move and other agreed changes in IT infrastructure.
• Ensure that all activities are executed in accordance with Shell standards and in compliance with Trust Domain security standards.
• Maintain HSE standards according to the Group standards and guidelines.
• Work as part of a virtual team comprising central and local ‘GITI staff’ in supporting GI/legacy environments.
• Working in full compliance with ISO9001 Quality Management System and ISO27001 Information Security Management System.
