Senior Business Assurance Analyst

As a member of T&S Business Assurance Team, Business Assurance Analyst will support these commitments effectively in a rapidly evolving environment.
T&S Senior Business Assurance Analyst is expected to represent T&S point of view contribute with his/her T&S business knowledge as well as GSAP (as a GSAP super user) and business processes and reporting experience.
His/her inputs will help different project teams to understand E2E T&S processes with all the existing operational scenarios, enabling those to be built into the new reporting model.
On top of that, she/he should be able to prepare, analyze, sense check, and improve T&S related data quality for retrospective years, while advising on system/ process changes to ensure data quality for future years.
She/ He would be the focal point for triggering and coordinating required business/ reporting changes impacting T&S.
Contribute to discussion on approach & process for development of new change requests. Manage all the changes requests and issues with the relevant internal and external stakeholders. Contribute to quality assurance and testing of change requests impacting relevant system improvement projects.
Help maintain comprehensive user manuals and requirement guidelines to improve quality and consistency of reports.
T&S Senior Business Assurance Analyst would need to be in a situation not only validating periodic financial data, but also:
Thoroughly understand the requirements asked by Tax Inspector Board in E-records guideline and highlight the differences vs Shell’s status.
To be able to communicate directly (in coordination with internal tax team) with Turkey Revenue Administration and Tax Inspection Directorate, External Auditors to clarify the critical areas/ actions.
To analyze and propose changes around Shell’s improvement areas in terms of systems, processes, and data readiness; to coordinate the changes with external compliance/tax focal points and external IT providers.
Improve accuracy and completeness of T&S related data before the submission when necessary. To identify and imply control points for structural solutions.
Provide T&S related data and share SAP knowledge in digitalization projects, NextGen and other projects. Support T&S Assurance Manager and work with Customs Advisor and Assurance Analyst and T&S Products Team as a GSAP super user. Coordinate GSAP tests as per Global and local requirements.
Communication and management of internal & external stakeholders especially government authorities.
Fully compliant with ISO9001 Management Quality system and ISO27001 Information security management systems. Prepare and keep update SOPs.
Data Preparation for Fiscal Authority
• Prepare data and tables for ethanol/biodiesel fiscal obligations, answer queries from fiscal authorities.
• ED refund tables for biodiesel
• ED Declarations for biodiesel
• ED deduction data preparation for ED declarations
• Production data for YMM report
• FIFO ethanol reporting
• Implementation of Excise Duty Tool into SAP
• E-Record Project
Data Preparation for Audits
• Preparation of information and data from SAP for EMRA/Customs/Tax audit and queries.
• Fuel/LPG/Jet A1/additive purchase, sell, stock, gain/loss, production data
AEO License
• Keeping AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) license active for both STAS and SCTL.
• Using Customs Integration Tool and keeping updated by monthly
• Updating AEO question form, especially provide inputs for T&S part, supervise other departments,
• Provide information and data for AEO customs audit,
• Supervise other departments and customs agents for yearly activity report,
• Support Customs Advisor Role.
Also as a backup for Business Assurance Analyst role he/she will back up;
EMRA (Licenses, National Marker, EMRA Reports)
Back up of EMRA standard reporting
Dimensions:
All transactional data (circa 80 mln transactions per year) within the local entities; STAS (TR04) and SCTL (GB 56) are in the scope. (T&S focal will be responsible for all excluding LSC/ Lubs related transactions)
120 reports per entity per year need to be submitted to be compliant with legal fiscal requirement stated above.
The new legal fiscal requirements may impact on the business processes; T&S Senior Business Assurance Analyst will need to coordinate T&S related business process and reporting changes impacting fuel stocks/ movements (which may also indirectly impact Retail and Aviation)
