Job Description:
Purpose
To provide product and process technological support to the Derince Grease Plant.
To ensure that Derince Grease Plant runs properly to produce greases according to the Grease Quality System and other specified KPIs
To support grease manufacturing and filling activities in a 3 shift (7 days/24 hours) environment
Dimensions
Size of the team: Derince Grease Plant consists 24 Operators + 4 Supervisors + 1 Technologist = 29 staff
Components:
• Baseoils: 10,500 mt/a - 18 types
• Additives: 2,500 mt/a - 35 types
Manufactured Products:
• Greases: 13,000 mt/a - 30 products, 65 individual stock keeping units
• Total value of manufactured products at cost: ~ 15 m USD/a
Number of Trials:
20 – 25 / year
Number of instructions and quality documents to maintain:
60 / year
Principle Accountabilities
• To provide product and process technological support to the Derince Grease Plant according to the Grease Quality System, IATF 16949, ISO 9000:2000 Quality Management and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems. (c)
• To ensure on time production, avoid off spec and reduce downgraded oil & grease to reach the OTIF. (c)
• Incumbent will report to the Regional Grease Plant Technologist EMEA – for pilot tests related to:
• The introduction of new products or raw materials.
• New methods of manufacturing
• Repeating manufacturing problems in the plant
• Full-scale trials are coordinated as a result of the pilot tests or on a request of the Regional Grease Plant Technologist EMEA
• Reporting of the plant trials and the communication to involved parties
• Coordinate the introduction of changes in the product catalogue and accountable for implementation of the grease quality system in Derince.
• Owner of the Derince Grease Quality documents
• Support laboratory manager and other staff in difficult trouble shooting activities related with grease production (c)
• Start studies for reliability and efficiency improvements (cost reduction) – define plant trials and projects and discuss this with the Regional Grease Plant Technologist EMEA (c)
• Assist with training of new people (lab/plant) and maintain their competence in grease production/filling and to train grease staff to achieve a better understanding of GQS requirements. (c)
• Develop and maintain the manufacturing and filling instructions.
• Coordinate the introduction of new manufacturing instructions and changes in existing instructions and communicate this to all staff (planning, lab, production)
• Follow up of plant Right first time, Key plant performance indicators of the grease plant and the day to day plant activities related to technology & develop implementation plans.
• Develop and maintain work instructions, checklists, .. for the grease plant
• Implement and maintain of projects related to cost reduction, process conditions, best way of working.
• Develop requirements for documentation or training necessary to support process execution.
• To coordinate & manage all plant trials for new products

Additional Tasks:
• Internal auditor for ISO-9001/14001/16949 and GQS
• Advice during customer audits
• Give input on request of the Grease Technical Service department
• Input in HSE related questions for the raw materials used. (Interpretation of MSDS) and have enough skills to identify risks when new production instruction or processes or set up. Participating in FMEA/HEMP-analyses.
• Coach the continuous plant changes and projects (related to technology).
