Shell Mobility represents the single largest customer-facing business in the group, serving more than 30 million mobility and over 250,000 Fleet customers per day, through 500,000 service champions in over 46,000 sites across 80 countries. This role is part of Shell Mobility’s Global Network Development team.
The purpose of Mobility Network Development Team is to deliver sustainable world class investment and enable the Energy Transition in Mobility through effective Capital Deployment and development of Network Strategies deployed to markets to ensure a balanced and resilient Global Network portfolio of assets.

Our ambition is to accelerate Shell Recharge public EV charging network to 30,000 charge points worldwide by 2025, with the aspiration to become the global leader in out-of-home EV charging by 2030. We are fueling the future of Mobility with a growing Shell Hydrogen and LNG mobility network that currently spans across 10 markets.
The Mobility Transition Network Team, under Global Network Development, initiates and develops strategies to spearhead e-Mobility and New Fuels network growth globally to support Mobility's Energy Transition growth pathway. Our team comprises of diverse talents and passionate experts who actively collaborate across functions to design customer-centric, data-driven New Fuels network planning and investment frameworks, tools and handrails and work with markets to build capabilities and support local deployment of EV/New Fuels strategies and effective capital investment.
The Role
As the Mobility Transition Network Planning Manager for New Fuels and CRT sector, you play the role of trusted advisor and subject matter expert for markets globally in developing their customer-centric, data-driven network strategies to advance New Fuels growth in key markets, in line with Mobility and Commercial Road Transport (CRT) sector’s decarbonisation ambitions.
• Network strategy and directions for New Fuel products, covering Hydrogen, (Bio)LNG, Biofuels across B2C and B2B customer segments.
• Strategy development and deployment of Shell branded network in support of CRT decarbonisation ambitions, covering all New Energy power trains (including electric mobility).
Commercial Road Transport (CRT) customers form a significant portion of Mobility customers that we welcome to our Shell Mobility sites every day. Responding to their decarbonisation needs is crucial both to retain and grow our business. You will be the Go-to Network Development focal for CRT New Fuels with stakeholders while playing the integrator within Network (global and local), Mobility, CRT and R&ES. You will get the opportunity to work across these teams on strategic initiatives and special projects to drive market development.
You will:
DEVELOP
• Be responsible for building a strong strategy and developing Shell branded New Fuels network across multiple power trains globally.
• Lead efforts to design and implement global network strategies, guidelines, and data-driven planning solutions regarding New Fuels.
DEPLOY
• Champion market deployment expansion of all New Fuels and CRT Network strategies, ensuring deployment is in line with Fuels Portfolio Progression Plan, included in Network Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Network Multi-Year Plan (MYP) in the markets.
• Ensure deployment of New Fuels strategy is being properly aligned among different stakeholders, communicated, and understood by the markets and successfully executed.
• Play a key role in coaching and positively challenging the local teams to balance the needs to deliver for today and making the right investments to de-risk our future network growth.
UPSKILL
• Strengthen capabilities & professional development of team required to advance the New Fuels Network agenda, including the adoption of tools and systems in an ever growing and changing environment.
INTEGRATE
• Play the role of Network integrator between Mobility and CRT (New Fuels).
• Integrate and operationalize CRT ambitions into Mobility Network Planning process and drive One Integrated Master Plan.
• Work to create alignment amongst stakeholders across levels and drive solutions that accelerate New Fuels Network growth agenda.
GENERATE INSIGHTS
• Responsible for reporting deliverables and oversight of network development pipeline.
• Generate external and internal insights to enable effective performance tracking.
What We Need from You:
• The ability to think strategically, paired with strong numerical, analytical and modelling skills.
• Self-starter who can work with ambiguity. Have a deep curiosity to solve problems and find solutions, especially the ones that require thinking out of the box.
• Entrepreneurial and data-driven mindset with ability to identify and act on opportunities.
• Strong level of commercial acumen and an understanding of E2E value chain.
• External trends understanding and customer centric mindset.
• Experience in leading and driving disciplined project management as the role requires multi-tasking on multiple projects at the same time.
• Proven partnering skills in leading and collaborating with all stakeholders including internal functional groups to drive alignment and strong integration across people, processes, systems and data.
• Extensive stakeholder management with senior leaders/peers/markets calls for strong communications, organizational and change management skills. Ability to influence without direct authority and align stakeholders with differing agenda and objectives to a common goal.
• Affinity with the renewable energy sector/e-Mobility and a passion to learn.
• Work experience in Mobility (especially Network planning), CRT and New Fuels.
• Experience in working/leading in a multicultural and multi-country environment is an advantage.
• Role is global and virtual. Wide spread of stakeholders within Network Development as well as other teams located in different geographic locations, time zones and different cultures requires flexible working pattern.
