Position Description:

The global pricing and deal making manager is accountable for working with the regions to ensure we have the best pricing strategies in place that are incorporated as part of an effective deal making process.

This role is virtual, and priority might be given to candidates located in the hub locations listed in the posting. Nonetheless, candidates from other locations may be considered based on business requirements, and talent availability/competitiveness.

Principal Accountabilities:

· Utilising all available internal and external data sources report on pricing performance and predict future performance

· Use data to hold up the mirror to the regions on performance and propose improvement opportunities

· Work across the business to ensure timely receipt of key information, identifying and implementing improvement opportunities where appropriate, success measured on margin improvement

· Measure success of strategies and cross pollinate winning methods between markets

· Establish and manage a community of global pricing leads, to ensure best practice is shared, opportunities are understood and common tools/ systems are being leveraged

· Own global pricing tools, including Aureus and PriceFX, ensuring they are providing the best insights possible to enable the best practice actions to be implemented

· Own the end-to-end deal making process for the business, identify opportunities for improvement and create / drive a roadmap to ensure the business has best in class deal making, including bringing in relevant tools/systems as appropriate

· Manage of team of 9 global staff, of which 8 will be SBO based

· Significant senior stakeholder mgt, including reporting pricing performance to GLLT, holding up mirror and proposing improvements.

· Accountable for creating a pricing culture

· Expected to be the single source of truth for pricing and set quality standards for the sectors and guardrails for markets to implement strategy gains

Financial and People Dimensions:

· Contribute to the Lubricants $2bn C5 / 2.5bn litres

· 9 FTE direct reports

· Drive large change across a complex environment (1 million customers across 160 markets)

· Key contributor to 10% C10 Lubricant’s growth by 2025

Skills & Requirements:
Success candidates will have:
· Exceptional stakeholder management skills, able to comfortably interface at all levels of the org across a wide range of teams through to EVP level
· Significant experience in pricing, including a deep understanding of how to develop excellent pricing strategies
· Proven ability to drive large scale technical and capability change
· Substantial commercial experience with a strong background in analytics for pricing
· Technically savvy with a clear vision for how digital technology can drive margin growth
· A strong influencer, coalition builder, and motivator of diverse teams (local and global)
· Effectively demonstrates speed and level of detail in thinking and execution
· Excellent communication skills including presentation skills
· Fluent in English with additional languages as an advantage
