Job Description:
Purpose
This role is a key member of Derince Leadership Team as well as a key player in the ERA E2E Supply Chain Performance Management Team. This role is the key integrator of all Plant and Logistics operational activities being the Plant synchronisation lead that ensures that production activities are fulfilled and inventory is shipped to where it is needed to meet Customer Promise.
Purpose: Manage all logistics activities within the country for components, bulk and packed lubricants and greases, from receipt of components into plant warehouses, storage and warehouse management, product picking and dispatching, delivery to secondary depots and to customers, road safety and fleet management.
Responsible for meeting agreed delivery promise at lowest distribution cost and high standard of performance in logistics operations for each location of the country through implementation of global strategies and processes.
Accountabilities: Leads and has direct line responsibility for country logistics operations as well as production scheduling operations in meeting objectives for safety, environmental responsibility, customer focus, efficiency and effectiveness. Responsible for right-sizing of distribution network. Leads for selection and management of 3rd party service providers for warehousing and transport, in collaboration with C&P. Hold periodic strategic and tactical reviews with contractors to ensure ongoing issues are being addressed and undertake the strategic planning of peaks. Responsible for logistics HSSE standards implementation such as CF Road Safety, Global FLT standards and Safe Warehouse Operations Processes. Responsible for transport & distribution budget and target setting for each of the locations in the envelope and for the envelope as a whole, utilising Delivery Promise Offer Book & Cost to Serve model Monitor envelope adherence for DP and with the Envelope Operations Manager address non-adherence and cost saving/service enhancing opportunities with Sales. Works with Regional Planning organization to operationalize agreed delivery plans that meet customer demand at lowest possible cost, through resource planning and event management in the S&OP process. Undertake monthly Performance and Financial Review with Prod./Logistics Scheduling Mgr, Europe to identify cost drivers in operations and address operating issues. Develops, manages and motivates diverse team of local logistics and planning staff to ensure that the required competencies are in place to meet current and future business needs, championing a learning culture in the logistics organization. Ensure all staff have required technical excellence to carry out their role, and ensure suitable succession plans are in place. Responsible for approval of customs tax payments. In case of customer’s return request, responsible for approval in order for customer service to realise the return process. Contract holder for shipping suppliers and customs consultant. Coordination of 5why analysis with suppliers in case of incidents. Fully compliant with ISO9001 Management Quality system, ISO27001 Information security management systems, IATF 16949 International Automotive Task Force , TS EN ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, ISO 10002 Complaint Handling and Customer Satisfaction and ISO45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. Ensure that capacity utilisation is visible by key resource area (e.g. Blending, Filling, Bulk Loading, Warehouse). Based on the rough-cut plan, ensure that production resources (plant, people, materials) are planned to develop an efficient and effective detailed plan, supporting the objectives of the plant and the region. Supports product introductions and withdrawals being made in a timely, efficient manner. Work closely with material planners to ensure that raw material availability does not disrupt production. Ensure that inventory, batch sizes & set-up times are optimised.
Skills & Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree with good command of English and local language proficiency are key in day to day interactions and engagements.
Demonstrated evidence of Enterprise first values and behaviours, analytical thinking, problem solving capabilities, attention to details, ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, self-confidence, ability to work in a logical, systematic manner will be taken into account during the selection process.
