Job Description:
Principal Accountabilities:
Team Lead role is accountable for tax filing & reporting for STAS & SCTL&SUT in Turkey with a team responsible for Tax compliance, payments, audit. The role will include:
• Accountability for tax compliance in the country,
• Drive high quality, timely compliance targets execution for migrated scope,
• Supervise compliance delivery in the country incl. management of 3rd parties such as PwC,
• Manage the team by allocating responsibilities among team members,
• Make sure there is a back-up structure between team members,
• Proactively cooperate within Tax, FO, Finance & Group to optimize compliance processes,
• Maintain a close working relationship with the CTL & tax advisors and manage tax compliance accountabilities for them,
• Maintain a close working relationship with Tax Audit & Dispute Coordinator, for addressing audit queries,
• Be the key contact to operational level tax officers,
• Proactively drive automation developments,
• Ensure delivery of compliance metrics and efficiency targets,
• Manage controls and risks for assigned scope,
• Promote learning mindset and optimize learnings from errors, incidents and near misses,
• Lead of team of Tax Analysts delivering excellent Top Quartile process
• Lead the team and support all team members’ individual development.

• Proactively raise issues to CTL and find resolutions via cooperation with tax advisors,
• Deliver assigned activities with high level of due diligence and drive for operational excellence,
• Communicating with internal and external stakeholders in a very effective and professional way,
• Ensuring appropriate process documentation, roles and procedures,
• Ensuring that all relevant company standards and policies are met, complying with certain rules and guidelines,
• Support tax advisors in ad-hoc tasks,
• Acting as a cooperative team player,
• Maintaining and implementing agreed personal development plan,

Requirements:

• University degree

• Min. 7 years’ experience in accounting/ finance

• Working knowledge about Turkish Tax System

• Experience of using SAP

• Very good working knowledge of MS Office

• Fluent in English

• Customer & improvement focus

• Strong communication skills

• Team player with managerial skills

• Analytical skills

• Pro-active and can-do attitude

• Attention to details as incorrect returns may lead to significant financial penalties for the company,

• Strong ability to work under pressure of time and workload to meet deadlines,

• Ability to build own development plan and proactively engage in initiatives supporting personal growth,

• To be open to take new challenges e.g. support any potential scope growth
